Why does Mike have two eyes?
This is a face-swap edit that places Sulley’s facial features on Mike Wazowski’s body. Mike normally has one eye, so the familiar character looks slightly wrong before you even read the caption. It is an internet composite, not an untouched movie frame. Singing Mike, ordinary one-eyed Mike and excited-versus-unimpressed character comparisons are different formats.
Write the line before the stare
Give Mike something impossible, contradictory or anticlimactic to react to. A quoted instruction works well because the image can supply the entire answer. Keep the delivery dry: a long explanation or several exclamation marks can compete with the low-energy expression. Replace vague “when life is hard” wording with the exact password prompt, meeting promise or recipe instruction that causes the disbelief.
When another reaction fits better
This version is useful for a moment of blank processing, rather than obvious excitement. Use Chloe’s side eye when you doubt the claim itself. Use Mr Bean waiting when the joke is how long the response takes. Let the situation determine the face instead of forcing every caption onto the same character.
